Chartered Legal Executive, Gwyn Edwards, joined the Dispute Resolution and Employment department at our Oswestry office in May 2016. Advising clients right through from initial negotiations to final hearing, Gwyn’s broad spectrum background extends from specialist finance and divorce to employment and complex land law issues concerning non-married couples.
A Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives (FILEX), Gwyn has experience in acting for both Claimants and Respondents, ranging from small business owners to high net worth international clients. His extensive experience includes assisting with high value litigation in the High Court of Justice and the specialist Technology and Construction Court. He has acted in a wide range of Employment Tribunal cases including issues of unfair dismissal, TUPE, breach of contract, discrimination, redundancy, whistleblowing and restrictive covenants, as well as advising and guiding employer clients through the disciplinary procedure.
After gaining a law degree at University of Wales, Aberystwyth, Gwyn travelled extensively through Europe and North Africa before embarking on a career in Law in Chester. Originally from Wrexham, he enjoys indoor rowing and holds a 1st Dan black belt in Judo. Any other free time he has is spent renovating the 100 year-old home he shares with his wife and young daughter.
