Myfanwy Murray joined the property department at our Oswestry office in July 2021, returning to her home ground after working for two years as a solicitor in Chester, where she handled a broad caseload covering registered and unregistered land transactions, freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, re-mortgages, new builds, shared ownership, equity release, auction, agricultural, and transfers of equity.
Myfanwy’s appointment came at one of the busiest times GHP Legal has ever experienced in the property sector. Based in a dedicated building that formerly housed the town’s Co-operative bank, our property department is one of the largest in the region and offers a full range of services to residential, commercial and agricultural property clients.
Specialising in residential property, Myfanwy can advise on every aspect of your sale and purchase, from an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) at the point of your property going on the market, through to exchange of contracts and completion of the sale, and payment of estate agents’ fees and repayment of mortgage balance. Irrespective of the size of your property, all our staff have gained a reputation for working proactively to ensure that your transactions will proceed and complete as quickly and seamlessly as is practicably possible.
Originally from Kinnerley, Myfanwy now lives in Oswestry. A former pupil of Llanfyllin High School, she achieved a 2:1 degree from the University of Sheffield before completing her legal studies and gaining her Legal Practice Certificate with a merit at the University of Law, Chester, in 2017. Prior to her appointment with GHP Legal she was vice president of Oswestry BNI Rhythm.
When Myfanwy is not working, she enjoys spending time riding her pony, Rusty, and walking her Cardiganshire Corgi, Princess. Though as Rusty is now getting on in years and is not keen on more than the occasional plod around, Myfanwy says she has had to take up running. Her colleagues were delighted to know this when she joined GHP Legal, and immediately signed her up for their 2021 Oswestry 10k run!
