Lawyers from a leading Wrexham law firm who began providing free legal information at outreach sessions in Brynteg a month ago say the majority of enquiries they have received so far are related to family matters.
The sessions at Brynteg Community House, which are being manned by Nathan Wright and Sarah Roberts from the Wrexham head office of GHP Legal working alongside staff from Citizens Advice Bureau, run every Tuesday morning from 9.30 to 11.30am.
Mr Wright, a solicitor who specialises in family matters, said: "The sessions during the first month have been well attended so we know people are finding them helpful. The majority of enquiries have however related to matrimonial and civil partnership problems and issues relating to children. This could be a sign of the times as relationships become strained due to financial pressures brought on by the current climate."
GHP Legal representatives at Brynteg are also able to advise on business start-up, employment and compensation claim issues, alongside CAB staff who are on hand to help with a wide range of other issues including benefits, debt and housing.
