One of the area's largest family law teams is to send in three of its staff to provide support for a new free legal clinic in Wrexham that aims to help local residents who have family issues.
Nathan Wright, a partner with GHP Legal who specialises in all areas of family law, will man the free legal clinics with solicitor colleague, Natalie Roberts, and trainee solicitor, Simon Jones. The clinics, which begin on 2nd April, will run every Wednesday from 9.30 - 10.30am at Hightown Community Resource Centre, Fusilier Way, Hightown, Wrexham.
Speaking about the clinics, Mr Wright said:
"My colleagues and I will be on hand to provide information about matrimonial issues and issues relating to children, for example problems with contact or where the local authority has become involved. No appointment will be needed, people can just drop in. Understanding aspects of the law can be complex and dealing with agencies involved in the law can be daunting, so this is a great opportunity and we hope people will take advantage of it
"We have been running similar clinics in Oswestry for the past six months and many people have told us they had put off dealing with issues before because they were nervous about making an appointment to see a solicitor in their offices. But being able to just drop in to one of the free legal clinics at the centre meant they had been able to get the help they needed to understand their position without feeling under any pressure."
