Christmas is the season of goodwill and Oswestry law firm, GHP Legal, is once again playing its part by sponsoring Shropshire’s largest Santa run.
Taking place on Sunday 7th December, Oswestry’s historic town centre will be flashing red as hundreds of ‘Santas’ don their crimson suits and take to the streets to raise money for local good causes and community wellbeing.
The non-competitive Santa Run takes a 5km route and is open everyone over the age of 11. With the focus purely on exercise and fundraising, all participants will receive a 5-piece Santa suit and a finisher’s medal.
The event, being staged by Adrenalin Sporting Events, has grown year on year, and GHP Legal, which has two long established offices in the town, has provided sponsorship for many of its fundraising events since the organisation’s inception.
Hywel Jones, a Partner at GHP Legal, said:
“GHP Legal is one of the longest established firms in Oswestry and has always been committed to supporting the local community it serves, particularly when it comes to health and wellbeing.
“We are associated with several local charities individually, but events like the Santa Run are the perfect way to raise awareness and funds for them en-masse. We are proud to be a part of making these events possible and would encourage local folk to sign up for this year’s Santa Run if they haven’t already.”
The Santa Run begins at 9:00am, with a warm-up session at 8:45am, starting and finishing in the heart of Oswestry. Roads will be closed to ensure the safety of all participants and spectators, and festive attire is strongly encouraged – the more Santas, the merrier!
Registration is open now via www.adrenalinesportingevents.co.uk, where participants can sign up individually or as part of a team.
