John Lancaster is a Senior Solicitor-Advocate with GHP Legal based in our Wrexham office where his work is within the Mental Health department. Due to John’s expertise and reputation as a respected authority on Mental Health, Deprivation of Liberty, Court of Protection matters, Care and Children law, he has been invited on many occasions to give training and to speak on TV and Radio on these and other legal matters. He publishes a newsletter on Deprivation of Liberty law.
John is a Law Society panel member of the Mental Health Accreditation Scheme and The Mental Capacity (Welfare) Accreditation Scheme. He is also a member of the Lawyers’ Christian Fellowship.
Married with two adult sons, John is a keen runner who has taken part in several marathons to raise money for charity. He is an active member of his local Church where he plays bass guitar in the music group, as well as being a member of local band, Jazzectomy. He has recently taken up the delights of tending an allotment.
