Shane Maddocks is a Solicitor in our Mental Health, Family and Civil Litigation departments.
Keen to help the most vulnerable sector of society, Shane’s primary interest and expertise lies in the niche area of Mental Health Law, with a particular focus on Deprivation of Liberty cases within the Court of Protection. In addition to this he also accepts instructions to advise on Family cases including Matrimonial and Children matters, as well as Civil Litigation and Personal Injury.
Chester born and North Wales raised, Shane joined GHP Legal as a Paralegal in 2015 after gaining a 1st class Degree in Criminal Justice at Wrexham Glyndŵr University and subsequent Graduate Diploma in Law and Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at University of Law, Chester. Six months later he was invited to join our solicitor training programme and he qualified as a Solicitor in April 2018.
When he is not working Shane enjoys staying fit and keeping up with the latest films at his local cinema, though he says his French Bulldog, Tyrion, takes up a lot of his free time.
