Janet is a Senior Solicitor in our specialist Property department at The Cross, based in Oswestry. Formerly a Partner and Head of Residential Property at a well-established Telford and Shrewsbury law firm, Janet returned to her hometown to join GHP Legal in January 2026.

Janet brings extensive experience across all aspects of residential conveyancing, including sales and purchases, new-build properties, leasehold and shared ownership transactions, as well as remortgages and transfers of equity. She qualified as a Solicitor in 2002 after completing her law degree at the University of Wolverhampton and attending the College of Law in Christleton, Chester.  Janet completed her training contract with Milton, Francis & Hughes in Oswestry, a firm that later became part of GHP Legal following its acquisition in 2018.

A fluent Welsh speaker born to Welsh parents, Janet is married with two children. By returning to work in Oswestry, where she has lived all her life, Janet has removed the need for a daily commute, supporting a better work–life balance and a reduced carbon footprint. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, travelling, long walks with her much-loved Labrador, and attending live music events - so you may well spot her at local gigs.
