Our People

Jessica Owen is a solicitor based in the Family department at our Wrexham head office. She joined GHP Legal in September 2023 as a Paralegal and in December 2023 she embarked upon a training contract with us that led to her qualifying as a Solicitor in October 2025. Jessica can advise you on your rights and legal options in all family related matters, from divorce, separation and child custody to financial settlements and prenuptial agreements. 

At GHP Legal we have one of the largest and most highly respected family law teams operating in North Wales, Shropshire, Mid-Wales and the North-West. The versatile team consists of solicitor-advocates, solicitors, a solicitor mediator and legal executives, who together have extensive expertise in handling complicated relationship breakdowns that often involve high value assets and complex business and property issues. We can also advise on trusts, taxation and niche areas such as Inheritance Act claims.

Having had a keen interest in the legal profession from an early age, Jessica studied Law and Criminal Justice at Liverpool John Moores University where she attained a 2:1 degree. She then went on to study the Legal Practice Course with Masters of Law (LLM LPC), in which she gained a merit. Alongside her studies she volunteered at the Liverpool John Moores University Legal Advice Centre, which takes on pro bono cases and provides free legal advice, where she assisted in the areas of Family Law and Immigration.

Originally from Wrexham, Jessica moved back to her home town after finishing university. In her spare time, she enjoys going on walks with her partner, particularly in Eryri National Park (Snowdonia), and spending time with family and friends. When time permits, she also enjoys travelling to new places.
