Leah Mountford, Solicitor at GHP Legal

Leah Mountford LL.B

Senior Solicitor

Leah Mountford is a Senior Solicitor within our Family & Matrimonial team in Wrexham

Leah Mountford joined GHP Legal as a Paralegal in October 2013 and was invited to join the firm’s Trainee Solicitor programme shortly afterwards. During her time as a Trainee Solicitor, she worked in and gained experience of all areas of law, but after qualifying and being admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 2016 Leah joined the Family Department in our Wrexham head office.

After completing her training at GHP Legal, Leah was described by the firm’s training partner as ‘a promising young solicitor with a bright future ahead of her’. It is no surprise therefore that since then she has gained both the Law Society Family Accreditation and The Law Society Children Law Accreditation.

Solicitors who gain law society accreditation must show that they have and will maintain the required level of competence and knowledge, as defined by the Law Society, in a particular area of law.

After leaving sixth form, Leah studied for a degree in law at the University of Manchester and went on to the College of Law in Chester where she obtained a Distinction in her Legal Practice Course.

Outside of work Leah enjoys reading, going to the theatre, and spending time with family and friends.
