Solicitor
Lorraine McClure is part of our Criminal Law team and is based in our Wrexham office.
Lorraine McClure is a solicitor in the Crime Department, based at our Wrexham head office. Working within a team of ten specialist criminal defence lawyers who deal with every type of offence, including juvenile offences, Lorraine and her colleagues are able to provide on-going consistency by representing you throughout your case, from police station to magistrates court and crown court.
Previously from Jersey in the Channel Islands where she originally worked in the Jersey finance industry, Lorraine McClure qualified as an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators in 1996. She went on to complete her law conversion and Legal Practice course at the University of Exeter in 1997/1998 and later worked as a legal assistant. From 2012 she worked as a qualified Advocate of the Royal Court of Jersey.
After re-qualifying as a Solicitor of England and Wales in 2019, Lorraine opted to make the move to work in the UK in 2021 so that she could focus mainly on criminal practice. With many years’ experience in dealing with criminal law matters, Lorraine regularly attended at the Magistrate’s Court in Jersey, and also gained vast experience working as a Duty Police Station lawyer in Jersey.
Currently completing the necessary assessments required to become a member of the Law Society Criminal Accreditation Scheme of England and Wales, Lorraine’s pragmatic, dedicated approach to all her cases focuses on achieving the most favourable outcome for each of her clients.
Lorraine now lives in Shropshire. After being a keen coastal rower in Jersey for many years she is hoping to take up the sport of river rowing very soon. She also enjoys keeping fit, swimming, and helping with the care of her friends’ horses.
