Lydia Ward is a paralegal based at our Oswestry office where she assists our solicitors in the Civil Litigation and Personal Injury departments. She joined GHP Legal in February 2025.
Our partner-led teams include accomplished lawyers who have a wealth of experience in dealing with complex matters in the field of civil litigation and personal injury claims. Among them are some who have Higher Rights of Audience, which means that unlike some other firms we can handle your case right through from start to finish.
Lydia’s role within the team includes performing administrative and legal research work such as gathering evidence, drafting legal documents, preparing case files and interviewing and communicating with clients, to streamline the legal process and ensure cases are well prepared for court.
After completing a Bachelors of English Literature degree at The University of Texas, Austin, USA, followed by a period of working in marketing and communications, Lydia transitioned into the legal field and advocacy, relocating back to the UK in 2023 to take her Graduate Diploma in Law at Oxford Brookes University. She is currently working towards qualifying as a solicitor and hopes to undertake the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) soon.
Outside of work Lydia loves reading and writing, seeing live music and making pottery. She also enjoys travel and being outdoors. She recently summitted Yr Wyddfa and now she aims to complete the other major UK peaks.
Alongside her work as a paralegal, Lydia enjoys volunteer work including at Shropshire Supports Refugees (Oswestry Hub), the Qube Community Centre, in art therapy, and with the Citizens Advice Bureau as an adviser.
