New legal appointments reflect upturn in property market

One of the area’s largest law firms has announced the appointment of two new solicitors to its Property team. The appointments come in response to renewed local confidence and a general upturn in the property market.

GHP Legal, which has offices in Wrexham, Oswestry, Llangollen and Chirk, has appointed Heather Foulkes and Hywel Jones, both of whom will be based in the firm’s Oswestry office.

As well as handling traditional residential property sales, purchases, remortgages and leases, Heather specialises in dealing with right to buy schemes, transfers of equity, equity release and lifetime mortgages, MOD LSAP and shared ownership transactions.

Born into a farming family and currently vice-captain of COBRA rugby club, Hywel will be focusing on residential property sales and agricultural matters, including the acquisition and sale of farms and land.

Welcoming the new appointees to GHP Legal, Senior Partner Richard Lloyd said: “Heather and Hywel bring with them not only legal expertise, but a great deal of energy and enthusiasm and this will help us to further develop our services to property clients.”
