A leading North Wales law firm has appointed another Welsh speaking Solicitor to the private client department at its Wrexham head office.
Rhodd Humphreys joins GHP Legal, one of the oldest established law firms in the area, bringing with her some fourteen years’ experience in various aspects of private client work.
Prior to joining GHP Legal, Rhodd headed up a private client team on the Wirral, dealing predominantly with Trade Union Clients. During her time there she specialised in complex estate administrations and the management of high value Deputyships, often speaking at seminars, Will days and conferences where she addressed trade union members about various issues in wills, estate planning and Lasting Powers of Attorney.
At GHP Legal Rhodd will continue to specialise in all types of private client work including Wills, Estate Planning, Trusts, Court of Protection applications, with a particular interest in Lasting Powers of Attorney, the management and drafting of Personal Injury Trusts and estate administrations.
Born and raised in Blaenau Ffestiniog and now living in Wrexham, Rhodd is a fluent Welsh speaker. She studied law at Aberystwyth University before completing her Legal Practice Course at the College of Law Chester and going on to qualify as a Solicitor in 2002. She began her legal career in Wrexham, dealing predominantly with private client work, and some ten years later has come full circle to return to work in the town. She is an active member and joint secretary of Côr Ger y Ffin, a multi-lingual mixed voice choir and a Parent Governor at her daughter’s school.
Welcoming Rhodd to the firm, GHP Legal partner, Victoria Wilson, said: “Our private client department is extremely busy and Rhodd’s appointment reflects this. She brings with her a wealth of experience and will be a valued member of the team.”
