Wrexham trainee solicitor qualifies as Police Station Representative

A Wrexham trainee solicitor who developed a passion for criminal law whist carrying out Court Reporting during her undergraduate degree course in journalism has qualified as a Police Station Representative following successful completion of a Critical Incidents Test and Written Portfolio.

After gaining a degree in journalism, Amy Rowley went on to complete a Qualifying Law Masters degree (LLM) and Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice in 2020. In 2022 she joined the Criminal department at GHP Legal as a paralegal and was later accepted onto the firm’s solicitor training programme. She hopes to qualify as a solicitor in September this year.

GHP Legal has the largest Criminal law team in the region, handling cases from minor driving offences to serious and complex fraud, the supply and importation of drugs, and murder and rape. Collectively the firm’s criminal lawyers have more than 100 years’ experience of representing clients, from Police Station to Magistrates Court and Crown Court, and also assisting with juvenile offences.

Amy, who was born in Chester and has lived in Flintshire all her life, is particularly interested in Youth Court work. Having studied Welsh as an A-level subject she is also keen to improve her Welsh language skills, something that GHP Legal supports as the firm has several Welsh speakers and clients who prefer to conduct business in Welsh. Once her legal training is completed and she has more spare time, Amy hopes to return to competitive skating. A keen figure skater from the age of 12, she is NISA Level 5 qualified and has competed across the UK.

GHP Legal may be contacted for professional comment on law matters at any time.
