Clear blue skies encouraged legal runners at weekend Country Park fundraiser

When a team of over thirty ‘legal runners’ set off across Alyn Waters Country Park last weekend to raise money for Nightingale House Hospice, there wasn’t a cloud in sight.

Under perfect blue skies the team, entered by Wrexham based law firm GHP Legal, was led by Robert Williams. A partner of the well-known local law firm which was one of the event’s main sponsors, Local Law Society President, Robert, was joined by Mark Evans the incoming national Law Society President and founder of the Legal Runner network.  District Judge Natalie Pritchard, a former partner of the firm, was also there.

The Nightingale House Alyn Waters 5k and 10k event provided runners with a scenic multi-terrain route that included a few inclines along the way. The 5k loop was completed twice by those who entered the 10k.

Robert Williams took 3rd place in the over-60s and was 34th male overall, whilst the firm’s Senior Partner Richard Lloyd came 2nd in the over-65s and was 38th male overall. Solicitors James Denton and Ruby Williams excelled in the 10k finishing in 60 minutes.

Long time supporters of Nightingale House, GHP Legal sponsored the bespoke medals presented to every participant as a cherished keepsake of their achievement.
