Wrexham law firm appoints new Higher Court Advocate

A higher court advocate who has already gained an enviable reputation for criminal defence on the courts circuit in Wales and acted in a number of serious and high profile Crown Court cases has joined a leading Wrexham law firm.

Ceri Evans, a fluent Welsh speaker, has been appointed by GHP Legal who have offices in Wrexham, Llangollen and Oswestry. After qualifying as a solicitor in 2001 Ceri went on to become a higher court advocate and has represented clients in a diverse range of criminal cases.

With extensive experience in Regulatory matters ranging from Environmental to Trading Standards and Health and Safety work, Ceri has also successfully defended Road Traffic and Transport offences including speeding, alcohol and road traffic prosecutions. She is a member of the Law Society Criminal Litigation Accreditation, Court Duty Solicitor and 24 Hour Police Station Schemes.

GHP Legal Partner and Head of Crime, Stephen Edwards, said: "Because Ceri is able to represent clients at the Crown Court as well as at the Police Station and other courts, she is able to provide total continuity. This is something GHP Legal has been proud to offer clients for some time and Ceri's appointment will add to that offer."
