One of the area’s largest law firms has announced the qualification of another trainee solicitor.
Welsh speaking Simon Jones, who joined GHP legal at the beginning of 2013, has been admitted as a solicitor. After gaining experience in the firm’s Civil Litigation, Employment and Family departments, Simon will continue as a member of the Family team in the firm’s Wrexham and Oswestry offices where he will build on his expertise in Mental Health work.
Born and raised on a farm near Mold where he continues to help out in his spare time, Simon gained a law degree at the University of Bangor and completed the legal practice course at Chester College of Law where he gained a commendation. Before commencing his legal studies Simon worked for two years in Canada and has also spent time travelling in Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia.
GHP Legal, which has offices in Wrexham, Llangollen and Oswestry, has a long reputation for supporting the trainee solicitor programme. Congratulating Simon on being admitted to the roll of solicitors, GHP Legal partner, Robert Williams, said: “Simon has been a valued member of the team for some time and we are pleased he has chosen to stay with the firm following completion of his training contract.”
