Legal secretary urges Wrexham residents to give blood

A legal secretary from Wrexham has urged others in the town to give blood after receiving a certificate from the National Blood Service to mark her 25th blood donation.

Emma Robinson, who has worked in the Grosvenor Road offices of GHP Legal for over 16 years, also received a pin and new blood donor card with the certificate.

“I started donating blood in 2000,” says Emma, “and I donate every four months. I am one of only two people at work who give blood, and one of just 4% of people in the country who donate. Yet blood is something we all expect to be there for us when we need it.

“Many people would not be alive today if it was not for the generosity of blood donors and the need for new donors has never been higher. I would urge everyone in Wrexham who can give blood to do so. At a time when finances are tight in most households, giving blood is an important and precious gift that won’t cost you a penny.”
