GHP Legal is pleased to announce that Mandy Towers, a highly experienced conveyancing and probate executive based in the firm’s Llangollen office, has been granted Practice Rights as a CILEx Conveyancing Practitioner.
With over 40 years of experience in the legal sector, Mandy has now formally qualified through the CILEx work-based route, converting decades of practical expertise into a recognised professional accreditation. Her achievement reflects both her longstanding dedication to the profession and her commitment to continuing professional development.
Mandy originally joined GHP Legal almost ten years ago at its offices in Llangollen’s historic Old Bank building, and she returned to the practice in early 2021 following a career break. She has continued to work in a senior capacity, delivering high-quality legal services in conveyancing and probate.
Her recent qualification was made possible through the extensive support of GHP Legal and solicitor colleague Lauren Blackford, whose guidance helped Mandy navigate the alternative route to achieving full practitioner status.
Mandy’s qualification further strengthens GHP Legal’s residential property team and reinforces the firm’s commitment to professional excellence and client service
“I am so proud of my achievement,” says Mandy, “as this was a difficult route to take to gain the qualification. I had to submit five lengthy portfolios showcasing the different aspects of conveyancing I had carried out during the course of my work with GHP Legal.
“Alongside this I had to complete a skills section to demonstrate that I could not only do the work but also that I had a full understanding of what I was doing, how this corresponded with current law, and that the work was carried out in accordance with CILEx Code of Conduct.”
GHP Legal partner, Hywel Jones, said:
“We are all delighted Mandy has gained the CILEx qualification and her achievement is well-deserved. She is an important part of the GHP Legal conveyancing team and is well-known and trusted in the area. Knowing you can rely on someone you trust is important and in a small town like Llangollen, trust is what reputations are built on.
"If you are local you will probably have seen Mandy around town or you may have seen her in her uniform on a day when she is her volunteer role as Station Master at the Llangollen Railway station.”
