Solicitor prepares for Snowdon ascent to help sick children

An Oswestry solicitor who normally works out twice a week in the gym and cycles to keep fit is joining more than a dozen members of her local ladies' fitness club in a six hour walk up Snowdon on June 22nd to raise money for Birmingham Children's Hospital.

Working mum Victoria Wilson, who specialises in Probate, Wills and Tax Planning at the Oswestry offices of leading law firm GHP Legal, decided to join the walk in support of her 13-year old nephew who receives treatment at the hospital for a heart defect.

"Another member of MD fitness-ladies at the Quantum Centre organised the walk," says Victoria, "because her son had a liver transplant at Birmingham Children's Hospital. But I know first-hand that the work they do is invaluable because my nephew is a patient there. So I decided to sign up and see if I could raise some money for them in sponsorship.

"I have never done anything like this before but I am training hard and getting lots of support from family, and also support and advice from colleagues at GHP Legal where there is always someone walking, running, skydiving or doing something else for charity. If anyone wants to sponsor me they can email me at victoria.wilson@ghplegal.co.uk" or call into the GHP Legal offices in Willow Street."
