A legal secretary from Penyffordd has signed up to take part in the 2015 sponsored 10-mile Midnight Walk around Wrexham, despite tripping over a speed bump on the same walk previously and injuring herself.

A leading North Wales law firm has appointed a new Trusts and Probate Executive to work in the busy private client department at its Wrexham head office.

Q:  My father has just been diagnosed with a serious lung condition which we have been told is probably as a result of working with asbestos. Although he didn’t ever work directly with asbestos he worked on a construction site for two years which involved the removal of asbestos from existing buildings which they had to demolish before building work started. At that time site workers were not made aware of any dangers when handling asbestos, nor were they given protective clothing to wear. Would my father have a case for claiming compensation?

Q: My daughter is 22 and on the autistic spectrum. Last summer my wife and I placed her in a Respite Home for two weeks so that we could have a holiday, but since we got back they have not allowed her to return home.  She is desperately unhappy and indicates often that she wants to come home to her family.  To make matters worse our visiting has been restricted by the home due, they say, to her behaviour and distress following visits.  We are totally distraught. What can we do?

Q: As I live in a conservation area I paid an expensive firm of architects to draw up plans for a large extension and get planning permission. Now the whole thing has turned into a nightmare. They got the planning permission but they changed the design and the materials so many times to appease the planners, without any consideration to build cost.

Q:  My wife and I have lived apart for three years but never got round to divorcing because we couldn’t even speak to each other without a slanging match starting in the first five minutes. She had a good job and took over paying the mortgage and I moved in with my girlfriend and things have just bumbled along.

Q: We want to move but in the area we like most of the properties have solar panels on the roof, which look dreadful. The estate agents say ‘just remove them if you don’t like them’, but I am wondering whether you would need permission from anyone to do that. Could we run into any potential problems?
